We’ve reached the end of this journey through the cinema of 2023. As mentioned at the beginning, it was a year that saw excellent international production, with films that were reflective, ambiguous, funny, dramatic, with comedic undertones, studies on memory, perspectives, and psychological insights. A year that witnessed stellar performances, careful direction, captivating cinematography, profound storytelling, and impeccable sound, in a mix of elements that only cinema can express with such power. 2023 was indeed a remarkable year, leaving us hopeful that 2024 will also offer a diverse canvas of the state of things in the world of cinema.
