Well, what to say in just a few words trying to do this film justice? It’s a great film, it’s dark and ambiguous, it deals with human nature in a way that has set up a new path for filmmakers all around the world. What is human and what is a machine and where this interaction stops being plain illusion and pure human touch?
PROS:
- Great set design.
- Acting.
- Music.
- Conceptually still contemporary.
- Visual language.
- Rutger Hauer/Roy Batty’s “monologue”.
- Cinematography.
CONS:
- A bit more depth in some facets of the script would’ve made this film even more poignant.
