Yes, we do.
Few words about the film.
Turist (“Force Majeure”) is a film directed by Ruben Östlund who, starting from a critique of a certain form of bourgeois tourism, arrives at a much more ferocious examination of the concept of family and the masculine role within it and its relationship with the feminine.
It is without a doubt a film that has been shot very well (tendency to solve a scene with the least number of shots), with an excellent sound design (e.g. the scene where the noise of the moving walk offers a real rhythm), a decent level of acting and very interesting narrative ideas (often offered in the subtext).
Every aesthetic choice (but also narrative ones) has an expressive motivation – and the strength of the film lies in the fact that not all of them are necessarily explained. The images that see the family getting lost in the “white” of the snow, only to finally find each other have a strong symbolic value. Turist is definitely among the most interesting films of 2014 and we can only recommend it.
